KAM – REDUCED TIME - OPHTHALMOLOGY - SOUTH CENTRAL

They are the fastest growing UK Pharma company with an industry leading portfolio of recently launched brands and an exciting pipeline of indication extensions and new chemical entities targeting areas of high unmet clinical need.
Together with external partners, our client has been successfully working on new treatment options for a range of different disorders, primarily diseases of the back of the eye – i.e. the retina – in order to improve people's visual acuity when it is restricted by illness, and to prevent loss of vision.
They have a Key Account Manager opportunity to work with their Ophthalmology products preferably 3 days per week (Wed – Frid). This role is key to the promotion of their macular degeneration product within their Ophthalmology portfolio, working in a defined shared geographical territory. The KAM is responsible for maximising sales and contributing to the profit of their product within this territory by achieving agreed sales & contribution targets in conjunction with their territory partner. The KAM is to ensure the understanding, acceptance and adoption of their ophthalmology product by engaging with and influencing all relevant stakeholders within the NHS – including clinicians, budget holders and influencers principally (but not exclusively) at secondary care level, and to be the point of contact (with territory partner) and primary source of expertise for this exciting brand.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record as a hospital specialist / secondary care representative and have the ability to embrace and implement the concept of key account management.. It would be advantageous to have Ophthalmology experience in this instance along with an in-depth understanding of the management of appropriate financial pathways to ensure product acceptance at all levels.
