Mary Tilston is recruiting for a Medical Development Manager to join a global biopharmaceutical company with numerous ongoing clinical trials on a permanent basis. This will be a field based role covering the south of the UK.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
-Develop enduring relationships and collaborations with healthcare professional bodies, independent research networks and healthcare professionals in high level market access and clinical leadership capacities to develop and implement activities related to opinion leader advocacy, disease awareness and education consistent with the company's strategic objectives.
-Respond in a timely fashion to HCP requests for clinical / scientific information and provide scientific support to HCPs on specific patient critical issues eg single named patient supply.
-Manage the local oncology congress plan (national/regional/international), co-ordinating attendance and maximising congress-related activities to drive engagement and attendance as well as acting as the lead on developing and organising symposiums for national and international conferences.

Further responsibilities will include:
·Driving the development and implementation of a strategic short and long term engagement and advocacy plan consistent with disease team objectives and working cross functionally with other Medical Development Managers in the team, and disease teams, reporting progress through appropriate metrics.
-Identification of high potential future opinion leaders in line with pipeline therapy areas and the identification and development of speakers for promotional meetings and speaker tours.
-Providing regional insight around site and investigator selection to Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs, site support throughout the trial lifecycle and working with IIT Managers to co-ordinate proposals around IITs and providing support as required to investigators for ongoing IITs

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Educated to degree level or above in life science, pharmacy or a related field.
-Significant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, in a HCP-facing role and significant experience in external stakeholder management and advocacy development within the NHS.
-Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and excellent interpersonal, diplomatic and persuasive skills.
