Clinical Research Associate (CRA II / SCRA) - North West & Midlands

Company: DOCS Global
Location: North West or Midlands
Reference: AS-012589
Closing Date: 16 Dec 16
Type: Full Time
Salary (£): 30,000 - 40,000
Benefits: £5760 Car Allowance + Private Healthcare + Pension + Life Assurance + 23 Days Annual Leave (rising to 27 days)

Job Summary:

We have a new opening for an experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA II or SCRA) to join DOCS and be fully insourced with a pharmaceutical partner. This is a regional monitoring role so if you are located in the North West or Midlands you should read on!

Requirements:

DOCS is the Functional Resourcing Division of ICON Plc. This means that when someone joins the DOCS Team rather than working in a CRO environment you will be directly and exclusively insourced with one of our many pharmaceutical / medical device partners working on their SOPs, IT Systems, Projects and sometimes in their offices.

We are now going through a period of growth and as such have a new opening for a CRA to be home-based in the North West or Midlands with one such partner, a large global pharmaceutical company.

You might ask yourself, why should I consider this role so let me outline some points that might help you make this decision:

  • On average you will receive between 4-5 protocols but the sites will all be in your area as this is a regional role as we want to limit travel where possible.
  • There is travel expected but because some or all of these trials will be utilising Risk Based Monitoring then this should be less than usually expected.
  • The new CRA roles are with a sponsor that has a large Clinical Operations Division covering Phase I – IV and all therapeutic areas in the pipeline. So, you can get the opportunity to work on a Phase I study or change from Oncology to Cardiovascular studies as an example.
  • Promotional Opportunities – We have seen a number of promotions from SCRA to Project Manager in 2016. This is not always possible with one sponsor so having prior notice and first preference on upcoming roles across a number of sponsors gives multiple routes to secure that next step.
  • Our roles are generally home-based with the option of hot desking in either our clients offices when required. DOCS will provide financial support for those setting up the home office along with monthly allowances.
  • Of course we want people to stay and build their long term career with DOCS however we also understand that sometimes you find a company that you feel at home in and want to stay long term so we will support our employees should they apply for a role as a headcount  at their sponsor were feasible.

What experience do you need?
We are keen to encourage applications from those with montoring experience but ss this is a home based role we would require someone to have 2+ years on this occassion. Ideally this will be with a CRO or Pharma company. You'll also need to be living in the Midlands or North West as we don't want you travelling all over the country.
