Vacancy: Human Resources Manager/ HR Manager

Salary: £35,000-£50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A Pharmaceutical Company based in Kent are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager/ HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Summary of Job Purpose and Person Specification

The post holder will be required to manage the implementation, maintenance and development of policies relating to the effective selection, induction, monitoring and development of personnel.

The HR Manager will assist in ensuring that the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience are employed and retained and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve the business objectives.

The post holder will provide guidance on areas such as working practices, recruitment and remuneration, conditions of employment, negotiation with external work-related agencies, equality and diversity.

  • To manage the strategic recruitment, selection, induction and termination of employees. Tasks to include:-
    • Writing the job description;
    • Advertising the role and identifying potential candidates;
    • Conducting the interview with the line manager;
      • Structure
      • Questions
      • Assessment measures.
      • To assist with formulating employee contracts and benefits;
      • To implement, maintain and develop the employee handbook;
      • To co-ordinate attendance monitoring and management;
      • To implement, maintain and develop the HR database;
      • The undertake HR auditing and performance reviews;
      • The provide advice on organisational structuring;
      • To ensure compliance with international, national and local employment laws and regulations;
      • To provide guidance on occupational health and safety requirements.
      • Degree-level qualification in Human Resources Management;
      • Good administration and communication skills required for internal and external contacts;
      • Ability to use MS Office applications, e-mail and internet;
      • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in different teams;
      • Ability to remain calm under pressure;
      • Excellent time management and self-organisation.
