The Key Account Manager will build and execute business plans to meet sales goals for their assigned territory driving territory sales performance, market shares and optimal resource utilization. They will develop effective professional business relationships with customers that support delivery of business results in the dry eye therapeutic area.
The Key Account Manager will implement robust account plans for the Optical channel and differentiate Novartis as a leader in the dry eye therapeutic area.
The territory for this role is the Midlands and South West England and South Wales.
•Strategic thinking and idea generation, driven from the analysis of customer and market data. Develop overall conclusions regarding accounts, markets and competitive business results using complex data from multiple sources. The findings are used to identify opportunities and forecast results.
•Develops and applies understanding of customer organizations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions (e.g. peer relationships)
•Deploys and uses Marketing and Sales promotional materials, commercial strategies and post sales education programs to drive the market share of the Novartis dry eye portfolio.
•Develops specialist product and disease state knowledge in the dry eye therapeutic area and leverages this to build professional customer relationships and support sound clinical and commercial discussions.
•Maximises cross-functional team to achieve sales targets.

#LI-P Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:
•Ophthalmic experience preferred but not essential
•High level of competitiveness and resilience
•Business acumen – effectively prioritises and focus on target customers to maximise business
•Sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices industry.
• Experience of influencing and stakeholder management.
