Location: West Midlands

Salary: £30,000- £38,000 per annum

A Pharmaceutical company in the West Midlans are currently looking for a Pharmacovigilance Lead/ PV Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Pharmacovigilance lead will provide technical expertise in pharmacovigilance to support wholesale and distribution, own brand and Pharma funded patient support programmes meeting all applicable PV contractual and regulatory obligations.

  • Lead on pharmacovigilance compliance across all business channels within the UK including business contractual requirements underpinned by safety data exchange agreements
  • Comprehensive risk and signal management 
  • Maintain and establish excellent planning and organisation of workload and projects
  • Protect patients and business through effective communication strategies and implementing safe and pragmatic systems
  • Oversee and provide stewardship of the pharmacovigilance reporting system as part of the quality management system to ensure the business remains agile and responsive to business and market developments
  • Regularly assess the resilience of the internal quality assurance and vigilance reporting systems and procedures to safeguard patient safety and mitigate and minimise all avoidable risk
  • Support and develop the role of Pharmacovigilance Officer – line management responsibilities
  • Produce professional and evidence based reports to drive informed business decisions.
  • Liaise with colleagues internally and externally as the subject matter expert to spread good practice and improve business awareness around pharmacovigilance
  • Effective planning and organisation to support critical business projects
  • Maintain professional and effective relationships with customers
  • Drive consistency and efficiency across the PV system
  • Keep up to date with legislative requirements and inform the business on impact on future strategy
  • Lead on internal quality audit control and any related corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to promote a culture of continuous learning
  • Participate in the appropriate project management meetings addressing any process issues
  • Engage in company projects owning areas of a project or whole projects for the business as required
