The role of Software Integration Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the Research and Development function within PAREXEL Informatics Engineering, including integration software design and delivery, ensuring quality and performance standards are met. This job is specifically within the integration team of PAREXEL Informatics Engineering based here in the UK.

The role of Software Integration Engineer  is responsible for collaborating with the Research and Development function within PAREXEL Informatics Engineering, including integration software design and delivery, ensuring quality and performance standards are met. This job is specifically within the integration team of PAREXEL Informatics Engineering based here in the UK.

This role is office based at our new modern state of the art Nottingham office.
 
You will be highly motivated and driven with innovative ideas, solid software design experience, programming skills, and the ability to work closely with system architects, engineering groups across product verticals and other direct team members. You will possess exceptional communication skills and bring a high level of energy and passion to the job and possess a desire to explore opportunities for progression within the Enterprise Architecture team.
 
Responsibilities::
- Provide programming skills and expertise in the design and development of Enterprise Architecture projects, change requests and technical support along with any production development activities.
- Contribute architecture input to new system components, rewrites of existing system components to use new application architecture.
- Accountable for technical requirements and participates in requirement reviews, actively working to uncover and resolve ambiguous and invalid requirements.
- Independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Ensure that solutions fit within established architecture framework, requirements and functional specifications. Anticipate issues and address them proactively.
- Responsible for unit testing of all code components produced.
- Accountable for peer review sessions throughout design and development phases for multiple projects at any given time.
- Mentor and coach colleagues in best practices, procedures, and concepts
- Work with peers in the EA group to research/evaluate/prototype new technologies and techniques.
- Research on-going industry/software developments.
- Act as subject matter expert for broad functional and technical areas of complex systems.
- Participates in the resolution of challenging and demanding problems across a number of technical topographies.
- Work with Scrum Masters to develop estimates, sprints and release plans.

Skills:
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
- Understanding of common system architecture frameworks and concepts
- Technical awareness of Security and Application Software Development
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Client focused approach to work
- Own the development and contribute to the integration solutions to an acceptable quality.
- Expert on any one of the commonly used programming language (such as JAVA)
- Expert on any one of the commercially available database (such as Oracle, DB2 or MS SQL server)
- Expert on XML technologies (such as XSD, XSLT, XPATH) and JSON
- Expert on any one of the commercial integration software (such as TIBCO (preferable), INFORMATICA (preferable), IBM WebSphere Integration Bus, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Microsoft BizTalk Integration)
- Skilled in problem solving and analysis of integration issues.
- In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
- English:  Fluent in reading, written and verbal communication.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven relevant experience in systems integration and implementation, or software development, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Experienced in working in agile environment and have an understanding of the SAFe agile Framework.
- Experienced on any one of the commercial integration software such as TIBCO or INFORMATICA which is essential.
