Are you a dynamic medical affairs physician who is  working within either the Med Comms or Pharma industry and looking for an exciting, creative senior medical affairs role in 2017?

My client is a rapidly expanding Med Comms company who views class-leading medical communications as a broad discipline, bringing together scientific excellence, strategic clinical insight and great delivery, rather than a single channel approach. The consistent focus is the desire to engage with customers in meaningful ways around the scientific evidence.

What does the role entail?

Provide medical leadership to the medical affairs team ensuring all deliverables are met
Ensure that the needs, requirements and benefits of patients, HCPs, and/or healthcare systems are prime in the outputs of all projects under the medical directors management
Collaborate with account teams to ensure compliance with medical and industry ethical codes of practice and regulations (e.g. EfPIA, ABPI, Pharmacovigilance) to a standard expected by the clients
Develop and share best practice and up to date medical knowledge with the wider business
Work with the medical affairs team and colleagues  to engender a culture of ‘patient first’ thinking in line with the needs of clients with the account teams
To deliver solutions that address the above tasks in a value adding manner for the business
Provide account teams with insights as to the particular medical challenges and needs of clients with specific projects
Promote the role of the medical team within the wider business network to enhance revenue streams
Provide strategic medical and commercial input to senior management team










What do you need to be the successful candidate?

Medical Degree with 3 years clinical practise
GMC registration is an advantage, not essential
Sound knowledge of ABPI code and compliance matters
Experience within medical affairs within the Pharma or Med Comms industry
Medical Affairs in a European role is an advantage
Medical expertise in a wide spectrum of therapy areas, and have the ability to learn new areas quickly
Experience working as part of a Senior Management team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dynamic, interactive personality with strong leadership skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary work environment
Excellent negotiating skills
Team management track record with strong skills in mentoring and coaching
Time management, planning and project management skills essential
The ability to be creative, lateral thinker is essential
