Driven by our exciting entry into the provision of tumour profiling services we have an opportunity for a Head of Franchise Marketing within our Foundation Medicine team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, determined & enthusiastic senior individual to join our new Roche Foundation Medicine team as Head of Franchise Marketing. The role will challenge your thinking, enhance your leadership skills and provide you with a comprehensive development plan as well as providing an excellent platform to develop your career within the UK affiliate or our Global organisation.

Reporting directly to the Integrated Franchise Leader (IFL) you will have responsibility for strategy and operational execution which includes day to day leadership of the inline marketing team and core team.

You will lead the cross functional core team(s) to formulate and implement marketing strategies and develop promotional programmes that lead to successful accomplishment of affiliate sales and profitability objectives. In addition you will be a member of the Core Team; this is in effect the leadership team for Foundation Medicine in the UK. As a member of this team you will contribute to overall strategy development and execution.

 

Naturally you will be a strong communicator as you will be required to represent the UK affiliate on the International Business Team (IBT) to formulate global strategies for the franchise. This will involve providing clear leadership and direction to the Brand Team, liaising with all internal stakeholders to ensure clear strategic direction and timely implementation of plans.

It will be essential that you develop Therapy Area Expert engagement plans and liaise with external stakeholders as an integral part of developing the Franchise.

Your ability to build relationships across the business will enable you to liaise closely with Medical and in-field teams in order to optimise implementation of the business plans and delivery, and promotion, of the service and promotion of it

You will provide appropriate levels of leadership and direction to the Brand Team/IFT to ensure:

  • High quality annual business plans
  • Accurate monitoring of sales performance
  • Accurate management and monitoring of promotional expenditure through SAP, within agreed limits
  • Timely review of forecasts of sales demand
  • Management of external agencies

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the following professional experience:

  • Track record of successful experience in sales, either in primary/secondary care or within the Hospital Specialist environment.
  • Proven track record of successful experience in marketing, ideally within the Hospital Specialist environment, with significant experience at a Senior Product Manager level.
  • Knowledge of the diagnostics market would be preferable.
  • Direct line management experience is required.  Marketing line management would be preferable.
  • Experience with using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office with the ability to adapt to new technologies and develop understanding of other applications (eg SAP).
  • The pharmaceutical industry demands you to acquire the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry qualification which can be achieved whilst in the role.
  • Be able to demonstrate sound planning and organisational skills, with an ability to manage several tasks and once.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Preferably a science degree or equivalent.
  • Marketing or management qualification would be advantageous.
