Job Summary:

A truly fantastic opportunity for a life science graduate looking to gain pharma experience to join a Biotech organisation as their Office Administrator. The role is broader than office and clerical management and will provide exposure and hands on experience to elements of clinical development. This is an ideal feeder role to become a CTA or CRA in the future. Full-time, office based role in Hertfordshire.

Requirements:

BACKGROUND

The model of the Biotech is virtual and therefore most of the work is outsourced, allowing you to gain experience with industry vendors, coupled with working closely with the small team, including CEO, CMO, COO and CPM.

Office based role in Hertfordshire.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

The successful candidate will support a range of administrative tasks including:

Planning and organising meetings; arranging appointments; setting up telephone/ web conferences; recording staff holidays

Dealing with telephone calls and messages sent to the company’s general email address

Booking transport and accommodation

Raising purchase orders / Maintaining and ordering stationery supplies

Assisting in the preparation of Powerpoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and Word document reports

Taking meeting minutes

Liaising with staff, contractors, consultants, vendors and the SBC organisation for administrative matters and issues

Point of contract for IT systems including troubleshooting when necessary; acting as administrator for access to the company’s database, and dealing with issues related to computers and printers; teleconferencing; web conferences, mobile phones etc;

Under guidance authoring and maintaining the company’s website

Undertaking internet research projects

Implementing and maintaining procedures/office paper and electronic filing systems; such

as managing the administration of confidentiality agreements (CDAs), keeping up-to-date

various tracking excel spreadsheets for example those for patents and contracts; and

assisting in overseeing retention of records as per the company’s SOP

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Life science degree, coupled with a real passion and desire to gorge a career in the pharmaceutical / life science industry

Passion and enthusiasm is a perquisite
