Job Summary:

Statistical Programmer II    (Job #MZ-1029) Location:  Carlsbad, CA.      RESPONSIBILITIES Provide computer programming in support of clinical studies.  Maintain the full-scope of responsibility for assigned projects: ensure on-time delivery, communicate the status of projects to internal teams and study sponsors, execute quality assurance procedures on work produced by others and ensure programming is being done according to specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide computer programming in support of clinical studies.  Maintain the full-scope of responsibility for assigned projects: ensure on-time delivery, communicate the status of projects to internal teams and study sponsors, execute quality assurance procedures on work produced by others and ensure programming is being done according to specifications. Create and maintain analyses, tables, listings, and graphs, generally using SAS.  Create specifications for, and program, derived data sets. Perform programming validation/QC.  Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by Data Management. Assist Data Management in programming edit checks. Work with sponsor/statistician to write and review Statistical Analysis Plan, including mock tables/listings.  May provide comments and suggestions on internal SOPs and written guidelines. May train and provide guidance to other Programmers/Analysts.  May perform other duties as assigned. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Neuroscience, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.  In lieu of a Master’s degree or equivalent, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Neuroscience, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, defined as Statistical Programmer in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry or 2 years of experience in Data Analysis and Programming in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry.  Academic Background or Work Experience to Include:  1) Experience with SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software used for performing statistical analysis of data and reporting of results for the Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry; 2) Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; 3) Creating and maintaining analyses, tables, listings, and graphs using SAS or other statistical software for performing and summarizing statistical analysis results of data for the Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry; and 4) Performing validation of programming code.  40 hrs./wk.  Job location:  Carlsbad, CA.
