The right candidate will already have industry experience within the CRO or pharmaceutical field and may be looking to progress from an already Senior PV Associate position to a PV Manager role.

INTRO:

An excellent Pharmacovigilance Manager opportunity has come through with a well-established CRO to manage designated projects and budgets and offer support and training to junior members of staff. The right candidate will already have industry experience within the CRO or pharmaceutical field and may be looking to progress from an already Senior PV Associate position to a PV Manager role.
This is a varied position which requires the candidate to perform duties such as overseeing workload, timelines, audit, budgets and finance and overall Pharmacovigilance oversight. This is a great opportunity to work with a top company that have the right attitude towards work life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General project oversight within Pharmacovigilance
• Reviewing and advising on PV aspects of studies in relation with sponsor
• Discussion of issues arising from Adverse Events reported to Pharmacovigilance
• Ensuring escalation of project issues to the Director of PV and sponsor to support the subject safety
• Attending regular study and departmental meetings
• Ensuring internal systems are updated on a regular basis- these can include- timesheets, expense claims and other files
• Overseeing the PV budgets and proposals
• Ensuring contractual coverage is completed for projects, i.e Letters of Intent and Work Order
• Training and Mentoring of junior members of staff, providing advice and assistance
• Representing the PV department within the company, client meetings and Bid Defense meetings
• Working with other PV members and Project Managers for study specific issues

REQUIREMENTS:
• Life Science degree and preferably a postgraduate qualification
• Industry experience within the Pharmaceutical and CRO industry
• Experience with people management or mentoring less experienced staff
• Excellent knowledge of global PV/drug safety for clinical and postmarketed products
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• A good understanding of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements
• Significant experience in Pharmacovigilance in a variety of phases and therapy areas
• Knowledge of SOPs and regulatory reporting
• Experience of good interpersonal and communication skills
