** Communications / Marketing / Patient Relations / Brand / Media / Press / Pharmaceutical **
The purpose of the Communications Coordinator role is to provide support across the External Communications and Patient Relations team to help drive key projects and manage activities that support partnerships with patient groups, maximise the communications potential of specific brands and help to develop a strong corporate profile for Novartis.
•Help to manage various projects for corporate communications and brand communications, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies
•Assist in the development and execution of initiatives with patient organisations and patient opinion leaders
•Participate in strategy development and executing communications plans in support of brands
•Provide planning and logistical support for local and global events such as patient and media advisory boards
•Develop messaging, write press materials and other documents including briefings and FAQs.
•Support the team with media outreach
•Manage press office enquiries according to team rota
•Support Head of Communications on projects, on-boarding new team members and team initiatives
•Manage key administrative tasks for the communications team including Zinc and PO management
•Work across the divisions and franchises to capture opportunities to develop newsworthy content for use across external communication channels, including the Novartis UK website and social media channels.
•Manage and maintain the Novartis UK website alongside Corporate Communications Lead
•Build and maintain media lists as well as manage some media activity

•University degree or equivalent in Communications or related discipline
•Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
•Ability to manage relationships with a high number of internal and external customers
•Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
•A strong team player with a willingness to take on a wide variety of projects
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
