DRUG SAFETY MANAGER - EAST MIDLANDS (12 MONTH CONTRACT)

JOB OVERVIEW:
- i-Pharm are currently looking for a Drug Safety Manager for a 12-month contract (maternity cover) for a Pharmaceutical company situated in the East Midlands
- Start date mid-February 2017 and a competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise responsibilities for the staff on site and ensure work is appropriately allocated to all members of the team (team of 10)
- Work alongside the Senior Manager in managing all case processing activities, including meeting processing metrics and appropriate staffing levels
- Lead the department’s preparation of safety sections for regulatory documents (e.g. DSUR’s PBRER’s etc)
- Provide training and insight to junior members of staff on a daily basis
- Prepare and update clinical safety documents and team SOP’s
- Participate and contribute in cross-functional teams on all safety matters and projects
- Contribute to internal safety committee meetings and lead specific projects with guidance (periodic safety data review meetings)
- Maintenance of the electronic archiving system and safety databases

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to manage and conduct all process leading to clinical trials and licensed products
- 3 years of UK experience in Drug Safety
- Life Sciences degree (or relevant qualification)
- Maintain knowledge of changes in the regulatory and compliance requirements

LOCATION & PACKAGE:
- Based in the East Midlands (must be within commutable distance)
- Office based (5 days)
- Full time (37.5 hours)
- Market average daily rate
