The Proposal Manager has three essential roles:

• Manage the proposal stakeholders, process and timelines to ensure proposals are developed efficiently
• Develop compelling proposals and associated budgets, with strategic input from Practice Leaders and Subject Matter Experts and customer-focused insight from the Sales Team
• As a partner to the business (Practice Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Sales Team, Contracts department, and Strategic Resourcing team), recommend, plan and execute on proposal process improvements to positively influence company’s performance metrics

Key Accountabilities:
• Serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders, leading the effort to compile, review and produce the final proposal response (includes supporting budget preparation
• Ensure proposals accurately reflect strategy discussions, meet client/PAREXEL needs, offer consistent messaging, include relevant differentiators, convey value proposition and critical success factors, and are well-written
• May participate in client calls and proposal defence meetings as required
• Own and manage the proposal process (define action plans and timelines; manage and hold the internal stakeholders accountable to those plans and timelines)
• Provide operational consistency and stability by:
- Managing and providing essential proposal resources
- Contributing new ideas and strategies to improve the proposal process as needed
- Managing trainings and SOPs

The Account Manager should have the following experience and skills:

Skills:
• Ability to develop relationships with a culturally diverse group of stakeholders within PAREXEL and client’s business
• Demonstrated industry and business leadership experience
• Demonstrated people management experience
• Ability to lead the effort to compile, review and produce final proposal response
• Proven ability to co-ordinate team effort and verify proposal response material
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Proven success preparing business and proposal plans and strategies
• Ability to successfully leverage internal resources across organizational boundaries to meet client needs
• Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Business or equivalent. Higher graduate studies in Business or scientific discipline a plus

Language Skills
• Fluent in English, oral and written

Minimum Work Experience
• 4+ years in consulting environment - within life science or service industries
• Previous experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry preferred
