The Senior IT Technician's role is to ensure proper function and operation of the companies IT equipment and services so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes but not limited to managing escalated helpdesk issues, analysing and resolving end user issues in a timely and accurate fashion, provide end user training where required and supporting other IT Technicians.
Your main responsibilities will include;
Maintain and develop business systems throughout full product lifecycle.
Interact with the business as both a technical consultant and local business partner.
Field incoming help requests from end users in a professional and courteous manner.
Manage, resolve and escalate helpdesk cases from the helpdesk system in a timely manner.
Prioritize, schedule and resolve problems and act as an escalation point for IT Technicians.
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop and server levels, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
Performing regular, scheduled preventative maintenance on IT equipment, including the checking and monitoring of servers, network infrastructure equipment, laptops, workstations, printers, and peripherals.
