Rare Disease and Oncology Specialist Role - Clinical Research Associate - UK

Company: Barrington James Clinical
Closing Date: 13 Feb 17
Type: Permanent
Salary (£): Competitive

Job Summary:

Oncology Specialist CRO (also rare disease and other TAs)

I'm currently working with a fast growing, niche CRO who focus their specialty around complex trials such as oncology and rare orphan disease. They have doubled in size over the past 3 years due to a great Senior management team and they work in a way that offers a tailored, bespoke service to their clients which has proved very successful and popular. Being specialists in complex/orphan indications they work with niche and extremely interesting biotech companies around the world, making the projects very interesting to be involved in.

After making multiple placements with this company they are now looking for a CRA II and a Senior CRA to join their team around the West London area. The role is diverse and flexible in comparison to the rigid structure of some larger companies. The role will include:

Administration and full investigator site responsibility for clinical studies according to ORION Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICH-GCP and local regulations
Acts as mentor for less experienced CRAs
May act as lead CRA assisting a Project Manager (PM) and may act as lead CRA or as a PM of national studies
Ensures clinical trials are monitored such that subjects' rights, safety and wellbeing are protected and that the clinical trial data are reliable
Assists the PMs in the preparation and review of protocols and informed consent forms
Negotiates investigator budgets and assists with the execution of site contracts with support from the legal department
EC and regulatory submissions

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a fast growing global company in a friendly and dynamic work environment.

The client is looking to finish recruitment for this role before the new year as they have pivotal studies starting at the end of Q1, therefore this role will not be around for long.
