ROLE TITLE

Senior Patient Advocacy Adviser

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Represent patient groups suffering from rare genetic diseases in the development of commercial clinical trial recruitment and operations planning.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a position with cross functional effect. You will work with multiple stakeholders within the business, predominantly on the planning and development of recruitment for clinical trials of Gene Therapy products.

Act as the key relationship manager for patient advocacy groups and therapy area stakeholders in the wider community. The position will support internal scientific, development and operational teams in advising on the patient experience, and helping to implement patient-centric recruitment plans.

Develop and implement patient advocacy strategies including the development of materials and making appropriate regional adjustments in line with local regulatory requirements.
Work with recruitment and trial teams, overseeing the development of recruitment strategies for each clinical trial. Support teams by creating patient communications materials that are targeted, empathetic, and in line with the patient-centric objectives of the business.
Select and manage third party agencies and track timelines and efficacy of all strategic initiatives.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in developing and managing European advocacy and recruitment programs.
Demonstrable knowledge of the end to end clinical trial process along with a good understanding of GCP/ICH and FDA Regulations
Previous experience working within the commercial drug development environment
A demonstrable knowledge of the essential elements, including compliance issues that need to be considered when developing effective advocacy planning
A scientific degree
