Quality Assurance Officer

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum D.O.E. + Company benefits package

Hospira are currently looking to hire a Quality Assurance Officer to implement, maintain and assist in the development of the Quality Management System (QMS).

The duties of the Quality Assurance Officer will include:

  • Core Quality Assurance Processes - Investigating  Quality failures; Change Management/Planned Deviation initiation and coordination; Materials Management/Vendor Assurance process; Resolution of Supplier Deviations and Supplier Change Notifications; Actively maintain Data Integrity of documents, software and spreadsheets including the IT  and System Registry and Archiving
  • Performing Validation activities
  • Assist in the management of the Calibration and Maintenace Management System.
  • Reporting, reviewing and recommending areas for improvement
  • Supporting external audits, including participation in areas of expertise
  • Executing Self Inspections and Patrol Audits
  • Proactive involvement in continuous improvement projects and activities, including ownership of specified projects
  • Training of Staff - Developing training  plans to support changes and implimentation projects; Active involvement in developing QA  training materials; Provide training to staff in quality related subjects

The Quality Assurance Officer will have the below  skills / experience:

  • Previous direct experience in the following aspects of Quality Assurance are mandatory - Validation/Qualification activities; Asset Management - Calibration and Service activities
  • Science Degree (or equivalent) is preferred
  • A background in aseptic compounding is advantageous.
  • Previous direct experience in the following (non-exhaustive list) are desirable –
  • Event Notification and investigation; Change Management / Planned Deviation initiation and execution; SOP/WISs Procedural Reviews; QA Process reviews and streamlining activities & CAPA/Deviation Management
