Job Summary:

Opportunity for a Medical Advisor / Scientific Advisor to join a Global Pharmaceutical Company on an interim basis covering key products in their Oncology portfolio. You’ll provide medical and scientific input to both internal and external stakeholders and ABPI code of practice expertise to all therapeutic and brand related matters

Requirements:

BACKGROUND

Scientific Advisor in an exciting Global Pharma Company’s UK affiliate. 

It will focus on Oncology

Office based covering UK and Ireland.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

Operating within the UK and Ireland affiliate organisation, this position is designed to facilitate high quality scientific and medical communication with key stakeholder groups that influence the treatment policies, funding and use of the company’s products. These activities must be integrated into the wider Medical Marketing Plan to facilitate Market Access.

This position is a key member of the communication team. This requires good communication within the company matrix including; clinical research, marketing, sales, regulatory and pharmacovigilance in the UK and their Global HQ.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Provide MSL team with medical strategy in line with strategic imperatives

Local study accountability (investigator initiated trials and non-interventional studies)

ABPI review of material

Work with cross functional teams to develop brand strategy / national and EU

Provide medical input into health technology appraisals

To lead internal and external facing activities to drive medical advocacy

Work in collaboration with patient groups to develop patient advocacy plan

Drive publication planning for the UK affiliate

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Demonstrable prior medical / scientific affairs experience in a relevant therapeutic setting

Medical/ Bachelors’/ Masters’ degree or equivalent in education

Background in clinical research with working understanding of GCP and ABPI

Excellent analytical and communication skills
