Background:

In the UK, they work over 180 healthcare communication specialists across the disciplines of brand promotion & digital, medical communications, market access, clinical trial management, consulting, digital, and public relations. They are a massive communication agency and their aim is to create inspiring work that engages, and generate interactive experiences that make brands stand out from the rest. The main therapy areas include: Oncology, Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Nutrition and Smoking Cessation. This agency has high staff retention as they offer a non-hierarchal structure and employee’s normally get the chance to work on 2-3 accounts at one time.

 

Role Responsibilities:  

Demonstrates and applies brand and therapy area knowledge to assigned brands and projects.
Ensures project teams adhere to agency and client processes. Identifies any issues and assists with problem resolution.  
Ensures timely, accurate client documentation and correspondence.
Communicates clearly and frequently with the client and keeps senior management briefed on account activities.
Responsible for the delivery of tactics to pre-agreed timelines on the brand throughout the year.
Conveys credibility and maintains a positive, professional image - both internally and externally.
The ability to see the ‘big picture’ and identify key issues while driving the delivery process.

Essential Skills: 

Experience of managing junior account handlers is essential.
Experience of working within medical education, ideally in an agency comparable to Real Science at an account manager or senior account manager level.
A solid background within account management focussing on healthcare clients and be adept at running projects from inception through to completion.
Be comfortable being the main point of contact for your clients – and able to present clearly and with an engaging approach.
