Roles & Responsibilities of the position
The successful applicant will be responsible for the territory sales and sales management of the region. You will become our “Flow Measurement Specialist” charged with developing customer relationships that maintain and increase sales of Transonic products in your target markets. Tasks will include product presentation and demonstration primarily in the surgical markets (cardiac, neuro, vascular, transplant, plastic surgery) but also in ICU, interventional radiology and research markets; soliciting commitment to purchase, post-sale in-service and training, territory sales forecasts, prospecting for new customers, and technical support and quota attainment. This function reports to the V.P. of Global Sales in our headquarters office located in Ithaca, NY USA. This position will work remotely, with some travel required to our European office in the Netherlands.
Additional functional detail;
• Responsible for all phone and written inquiries for all Clinical products sold by Transonic Europe
• Provide equipment recommendations to existing and potential customers for clinical product lines
• Prepare sales lead generation plans and schedules to identify specific targets
• Identify sales prospects and other new leads and referrals resulting from field activities and meetings
• Provide confirmation of clinical orders to ensure correct equipment has been ordered and coordinate order placement and shipment from our Ithaca office
• Maintain the CRM database
• Creation of business plans and strategy on a on-going basis
A Master or Bachelor degree, preferably including biomedical or medical technologies training. Three or more years of experience selling capital equipment to surgeons, hospital administration, interventionalists and researchers. Familiarity with OR procedures and the clinical environment is a necessity to this role.
Languages: Dutch & English both spoken and written (French and/or German is a plus). A proven track record as a sales professional in a similar position, and strong proficiency in application-based sales and demonstrations of innovative technology solutions. Personable and enthusiastic, well-organized with focus on results and well-versed in sales reporting and analytical tracking.
Knowledge of Microsoft office tools a must, including CRM knowledge.
