Job Summary:

TalentSource Life Sciences is currently searching for an experienced Clinical Supply Manager to join one of our partner companies - a leading international biopharma - in Belgium. This is a temporary role with TalentSource for 6 months. The successful candidate will be working on studies dedicated to one client. As a client-facing role, we are looking for confident candidates with the ability to work independently whilst establishing a high-trust environment with the client counter-parts.


  • Bachelor's degree in sciences, Master's degree preferable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Background with Project Management and working within Supply Chain Management.
  • Good knowledge of GxPs.
  • Must have strong collaboration and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and solve problems.
  • Risk management and change management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build good working relationships.

Key accountabilities:  

  • The Clinical Supply Manager will project manage the Investigational Medicinal Product supply for assigned clinical trials, implementing strategy defined in collaboration with stakeholders, and providing visibility on clinical supply chain throughout the trail. He/she will plan, coordinate and communicate clinical supply activities for all applicable clinical trials to optimal quality, time and budget, as well as manage the complete IMP supply chain for assigned studies.  
  • The Clinical Supply Manager's scope will cover all clinical trials from phase I - IV, across all of the sponsor's products.  


  • Manage the set-up, maintenance and close-out of assigned multi-national Phase I - IV trials.
  • Drive strong partnership with stakeholders, in particular the Clinical Team. Participate in joint Clinical Study Teams as a liaison. Educate and influence as needed to ensure optimal incorporation of the departments input into decisions impacting the IMP supply chain.
  • With guidance of the Clinical Supply Program Manager, define an optimal IMP supply strategy to ensure adequate and sufficient forecasting of drug product, comparators and final IMP.
  • Coordinate an optimal IMP distribution strategy to ensure timely delivery to clinical sites.
  • Set-up and write Core Label Text documents and coordinate the Country Label translation and regulatory approval process.
  • Achieve planned milestones regarding clinical supply related trial set-up activities including packaging, labelling, Interactive Response Technology (IRT) requirement/specification development, distribution and return/destruction.
  • Contribute to IRT specification development by defining the requirements for IMP/inventory management. Participate in IRT User Acceptance Testing.
  • Lead and contribute to Operational Kick-Off Meetings with department functions, Distribution and Quality Assurance, to share study information, collect input on packaging design and timelines and agree on the trial project plan.
  • Monitor IMP inventory quantities and expiry dates.
  • Present IMP information at Investigator Meetings.
  • Plan and monitor the department's trial budget and communicate any required adjustments to the Clinical team and Clinical Supply Program Managers.
  • Ensure Clinical Supply Program Manager visibility on clinical supply chain for assigned trials, proactively identifying risks and escalating issues.
  • Suggest and contribute to the department's process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage deviations, investigations and change controls in the Quality Management System.
  • Lead and participate in the writing and review of procedure, instructions and forms.
