Novartis is currently recruiting a Senior Key Account Manager in the launch phase of a very exciting product in the rapidly expanding Immunology & Dermatology team at Novartis.
** Key Account Manager / Sales / Business Development / Pharmaceutical / Secondary Care / NHS / Rheumatology **
The purpose of the Key Account Manager role is to build and execute business plans to meet sales goals for assigned territory and to develop effective business relationships with customers in the rheumatology therapy area. The customer base is secondary care and includes hospitals, institutions, local health authorities or private payers.
The candidate must be mobile and able to cover the following territory: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol & Bath.
•Develops understanding of customer organizations and influence customer decisions
•Develops business/clinical networks supporting Medical advocacy and key opinion leader plans
•Adapts approach and communication style during sales calls responding appropriately to customer needs
•Ensures that Novartis products and services are understood and available to more patients and customers.
•Deploys and uses Marketing and Sales promotional materials and programs
•Develops deep specialist product and disease state knowledge in the specific therapeutic area
•Allocates resources effectively for sampling, programs and events
•Integrates customer-facing activities across cross-functional teams (Medical Affairs, Market Access)

#LI-NOV Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:
• Pharmaceutical sales experience in secondary care
• Extensive knowledge of NHS – structure, strategy and funding
• Rheumatology experience ideally but only a nice to have
• Experience in biologics – nice to have
• Proven account planning and/or matrix management experience
• Commercial acumen and awareness
