To support all software related to Manufacturing and co-ordinate any change, upgrades, improvements to Mfg related systems. To lead the implementation of any Mfg system software upgrades. To develop and implement software solutions for automated manufacturing systems. To manage projects in which there is a significant software and/or automation component.
1. To perform System Validations for all Mfg system changes. This includes project management and development of all change control deliverables associated with such a project. 2. To participate in user requirements gathering, problem solving and solution design for new and modified software systems with other functional departments. 3. To deliver software solutions capable of meeting site specific needs, integrating with 3rd party hardware and software as required. 4. Provide support, trouble shooting expertise and training to users of deployed Mfg software systems, including the preparation and analysis of system collected data. 5. Co-ordinate the implementation of technical changes to any Mfg software systems. 6. Liaise with Quality Engineers and Mfg personnel on new system implementations or changes. 7. Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon and Novartis QS requirements.
• Knowledge and practical experience of software, process, equipment and automation engineering projects • Accustomed to working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control • Experience in VB.NET, C#, MS SQL Server, Crystal/SQL Reports, Java • Strong knowledge of networked systems and database applications • Good communication skills (written and oral) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated project management skills • Ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules • Knowledge of FDA 21CFR Part 11 and GAMP 5 requirements Minimum requirements Minimum: Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems Preferred: Masters in Computer Science and/or Information Systems English
Minimum: >2 years systems software experience undertaking systems development and implementation in a regulated environment.
Preferred: >5 years experience in a Med Device/Pharma Manufacturing environment managing and supporting systems development and implementation
