This role will be a 12 month FTC maternity cover
An cxciting new opportunity at Novartis has arisen for a number of Key Account Managers (KAM) to join a highly successful Specialty sales team to deliver on launch of an exciting new product. These are business critical and highly visible roles within the organisation responsible for leading on the delivery of a cardiovascular product campaign.

•The role is responsible for building and executing business plans to meet sales goals for assigned territory.
•To drive territory sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization.
•To develop effective professional business relationships with customers that support delivery of business results in a specific therapeutic area.
•To implement robust account plans with complex customers including hospitals, institutions, local health authorities or private payers.
•To differentiate Novartis as a leader in a specific therapeutic area.
-Executes account plans for assigned product lines/brands, customers or therapeutic area; uncovers and develops new business opportunities.
-Develops and applies understanding of customer organizations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions (e.g. peer relationships)
-Develops business/clinical networks supporting Medical advocacy and key opinion leader plans, including medical experts from customer or academic communities.
-Adapts and optimizes approach and communications style during sales calls, responding appropriately to customer needs
-Makes effective use of available technologies and channels to support sales calls.

•New Product launch experience
•Cardiology experience desirable but not essential
•Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices industry
•Demonstrated use of persuasion/engagement tactics to influence key decision makers in senior management and influencing positions within primary and secondary healthcare sectors
