Requirements:

Medical Science Liaison
Field based UK

i-Pharm Consulting are proud to be recruiting for multiple MSL positions – both freelance contract roles and permanent vacancies – with a niche pharma.

The best and most prominent in the world at what they do, this family run company has half a century of expertise in caring for patients with complex conditions that make up around 2% of the global disease burden; literally, billions of people.

They are looking for experienced freelance and permanent MSLs to join their growing Medical Affairs team.

For the MSLs that have been doing the job for a few years, you know how important it is that you can manage your own time effectively and work by the strength of your own direction but what would you do differently if you were working with a company who believe that trusting their staff to do what’s right has been the key to the majority of their business successes?

How much more effective would you be if the company you worked for were more focused on empowering their people instead of micro-managing them?

You’ll have the chance to establish yourself as *the* subject matter expert in a therapy area that doesn’t get as much attention as major disease areas – in fact, a large part of the role is talking to oncologists, haematologists, gastroenterologists, etc about ways that they can treat their patients better - it takes a certain kind of person to pull that off.

Shortly after starting, there will be chances to take on responsibilities more in line with a Medical Advisor than a typical MSL. Things like having strategic input into medical plans and actually running clinical trials as opposed to simply advising on them.

Territories are divided up intelligently: there’s North, Central and South. So you won’t be in Scotland on Monday and Portsmouth on Tuesday.

Here’s the criteria to meet if you’d like to be considered:

• For an MSL position, 1 to 2 years of experience in industry; for a Senior MSL position, 2 years+
• A proven track record in developing and managing KOL relationships
• Must live in the UK, close to good transport links with a willingness to travel

To apply for a contract position: please get in touch with Tom Filby on +44(0)2031 892296 or email tfilby@i-pharmconsulting.com. The contracts are short term (3 months), interim roles – the company have asked for any contractors applying to be available either immediately, or within a matter of weeks (4 max). Rates are £450+ per day.

To apply for a permanent position: please get in touch with Niki Sansoy on +44(0)2031 890470 or email nsansoy@i-pharmconsulting.com. The permanent roles are salaried dependent on experience – Niki will be able to talk you through your requirements in more detail.
