Job Summary:

Our client is a leading developer & manufacturer of natural products & extracts for the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries. Their GMP/MHRA accredited facility in Hertfordshire focuses on product, process & method development, from the initial lab stages, through scale up & onto full-scale commercial production - with 38 members of staff on site currently, the client is looking to invest in a new lab, scale up & pilot facility & are therefore seeking a Process Development C

Our client is a leading developer & manufacturer of natural products & extracts for the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries. Their GMP/MHRA accredited facility in Hertfordshire focuses on product, process & method development, from the initial lab stages, through scale up & onto full-scale commercial production - with 38 members of staff on site currently, the client is looking to invest in a new lab, scale up & pilot facility & are therefore seeking a Process Development Chemist.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Creating, developing & reviewing new & existing processes to optimise the manufacturing process.
* Planning, performing, supervising & reviewing process trials in labs, pilot plants & factories.
* Scaling up of production through plants trials & altering raw materials or components & parameters for quality large scale production.
* Cost reduction review through alternative materials/machinery & reviewing bottlenecks.
* Creating new test methods & validation of new processes working across multiple pipelines.
* Equipment modification & maintenance

Requirements:

* BSc or MSc in chemistry or another applicable discipline
* Minimum of 2-3 years"e; pharmaceutical industry experience
* Strong knowledge & experience using HPLC, MS, GC, IR, UV, TLC & west chemistry techniques
* Method development & validation experience per ICH requirements
* Internal & external technology transfer of newly developed methods to pilot scale
* Knowledge of herbal raw materials & API manufacturing is highly advantageous but not essential
* GMP knowledge & SOP writing/review
