Job Description SummaryA Technical Reviewer is required to support the flawless execution of scientific projects. They will be responsible for are technically reviewing and signing off analytical data to a high quality standard and in compliance with GMP principles in accordance with project timelines and internal delivery metrics.

This position is based in Slough, UK. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

 

Job Description
  • Performs technical review of assays for stability, evaluation, method transfer and characterisation studies against standard operating procedures, protocols and GMP principles.
  • Communicates with operators, Study Directors and managers to close-out technical review of assays and provides feedback for the recognition / development of scientists and to train staff to reinforce best practice.
  • Interprets data against study specifications, identifies atypical results / trends within data and supports and leads discussions for process improvements.
  • Provides support for the progress of quality records such as atypical / out of specification investigations and deviations, and for department activities such as protocol / report writing and archiving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have an HND or BSc in relevant scientific discipline (preferred area of study:  Biochemistry / Biotechnology) and some relevant industry experience.  

They will be able to demonstrate experience in a range of analytical methods and reviewing data generated from those analytical methods.  Experience of working in a contract research/laboratory environment is highly desirable.  Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and GMP processes is also desirable.

They will be able to make quality decisions based on the best available scientific data.  Have a desire to learn and willing to impart knowledge.  Be confident and resilient enough to thrive in a challenging environment and willing to undertake a range of tasks for the effective running of the department.
