TalentSource Life Sciences, the division of CROMSOURCE and dedicated to flexible staffing solutions, is currently searching for a Data Acquisition Specialist (DAS) to work with one of our partner pharmaceutical companies in the South of England.

This is a freelance position with TalentSource for 12 months with the possibility of being extended, on a full time basis. This will be an office based position, which may offer some flexibility to work from home after the initial 3 months. The successful candidate will be working on studies dedicated to one client.

The Data Acquisition Specialist will manage the acquisition of non-CRF data through collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Provides data collection expertise to study teams as an extended SMT member and primary contact for data collection of non-CRF data; documents key information about planned non-CRF data for the team in the Data Handling Strategy document.

· Is responsible for the production of non-CRF data collection specification documentation.

· Is responsible for the establishment of transfer, the receipt and upload of non-CRF study data.

· Develops and maintains effective working relationships with vendor contacts on a study basis, participates in vendor selection activities for a study in collaboration with study teams.

· Applies data collection standards at the study level with understanding of downstream processes

· Collaborates with Data Standards Office to define study data collection standards for new assessments and collaborates with them to implement new standards.

· Represent CDM on IxRS sub teams and works with the Study Management Team to develop IxRS specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

· BA/BS degree or equivalent and moderate industry-related experience

· In-depth understanding of the business of his or her sub-function and the greater clinical data management (CDM) organization

· Understanding of business partners and stakeholder environment and their impact on internal company process

· Understanding and utilization of company data collection standards, CDM processes, procedures and guidelines with respect to fit-for-purpose.

· Ability to work under minimal guidance

· Strong initiative, problem solving and presentation skills

· Experience working as part of a team
