Novartis is currently recruiting for a Business Leader to join the Neuroscience franchise to build a team for a new high-priority product launch! The territory will cover Southern England from Birmingham down.

Job purpose:

The purpose of the Business Leader role is to create and lead a high performing cross-functional team in order to ensure delivery of agreed business and patient access outcomes within a defined geography.

Key Responsibilities:

•Be accountable for the development and delivery of a business plan which ensures best outcomes for Novartis, our customer and patients
•Accountable for the optimisation of allocated team and financial resources to deliver on defined business objectives.
•Establish positive and productive working relations with external customers in order to ensure Novartis is seen to be supporting our vision of Winning for Patients
•Leadership and line management responsibility for the Team Members including Patient Access Managers and Key Account Managers.
•Working with aligned head office teams (Market Access, Marketing & Medical) and field stakeholders including Scientific Operations Team Leaders, to ensure shared learning and application of appropriate technical expertise in support of the business plan.
•To critically analyse, understand short and long-term trends across geography and specifically within key accounts in order to identify growth opportunities, adapt strategy/tactics, and allocate resources.
•To monitor the market dynamics, including the competition and healthcare environment and to uncover customer insights with the aim of anticipating challenges and opportunities
•To recruit, onboard, engage, motivate, develop and coach the cross-functional teams

#LI-NOV Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:

•Desirably educated to Degree Level ideally in Business, Science or Marketing English
•Proven experience in pharmaceutical industry
•Related field sales experience
•Previous experience in people management
•Highly desirable: Experience in market access and/or service development
•Leadership of a cross functional team
•Cross-functional / matrix working
