Requirements:

At Roche Diagnostics we believe it’s urgent to deliver medical solutions right now and develop innovations for the future.  We are passionate about transforming patients’ lives as a world leader in Healthcare & Diagnostics solutions.

With over 490 permanent employees in the UK and Ireland, we operate within vibrant and growing markets providing innovative and complex healthcare solutions in an ever changing business environment.

Due to promotion of the current incumbent, we have an exciting opportunity for a strong field project manager to join the Implementation Team.  Reporting into the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of medium and long term projects in the NHS and private laboratories across the UK and Ireland.

You will be responsible for oversight of service roll-outs at client sites, while maintaining all project documentation, mitigating risks to ensure service continuity. The average commercial value of the projects under your remit will be in the range of £1 to £2.5 million.

Interfacing directly with internal and external stakeholders, you will deliver agile projects and stay on track to meet agreed deadlines. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction you will closely collaborate with the sales team at tender stage and post-award, thus seizing every opportunity to expand the customer relationship for the contract life time.

As this is a field based position, you will live anywhere in the UK, but well connected to major public transport and motorway links.  You will be expected to travel to Ireland on occasion.

Who you are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
Educated to Bachelor degree or equivalent, in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, you have a strong track record in coordinating the entire project management life cycle from early design of the lab to delivery & complete handover of the turnkey solutions.  Ideally, you will have gained this experience within the healthcare industry or with high capital value equipment. With outstanding communication skills at all levels you have a proven ability to influence key stakeholders in a highly complex cross-functional environment. You are a focused problem solver with well-rounded experience in all aspects of project design and documentation, and with a pro-active personality that supports being in a project leadership position. Other critical attributes to your success in the position include:
• Good understanding of the lab workflow and design principles as well as the construction services underpinning a successful project delivery
• Good business acumen
• Good writing skills to produce quality Client Proposals and Project Documentation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present recommendations and ideas and to summarize issues
• Ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects in parallel with strict KPIs
If you are proud of contributing and feel you have the commitment to teamwork and innovation we are seeking, then Roche is the organisation for you.
