About Kyowa Kirin International

Kyowa Kirin International is going through an exceptional time.  With two product launches expected over the next year and further new product development combined with excellent international growth rates, we are providing a great platform for today and our future.

Kyowa Kirin International plc is owned by Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd (KHK) of Japan. Founded in 1949, KHK has a successful track record in Japan and is now expanding globally. Our highly successful product portfolio, enviable pipeline and active Business Development group provides a wealth of products in the therapeutic areas of Oncology, CNS and Nephrology. With three key anti-body therapies in late stage development Kyowa Kirin is setting the scene for transformative growth.

Alliance Officer

Kyowa Kirin International joins forces with other companies creating strategic allances (partnerships) to promote continued growth. This may be through assest acquisitions (companies and/or proucts), in-licensing (adding additional products from another company to Kyowa Kirin’s portfolio) and out-licensing (where the rights to sell a Kyowa Kirin International product in certain territories are given to another company). Generally the alliance (partnership) will leverage different expertise from each company within the partnership. For example in the out-licence scenario Kyowa International will provide manufacturing and regulatory expertise and their partner will provide distribution channels and marketing prowess in additional territories.

Partners, operating through the alliance management group, are key revenue contributors to the business. Ensuring that both internal and external aspects of the relationships are managed approprately to ensure expedited and successful commercialisation of KKI assests is essential.
