We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Specialist. The L&D Specialist will coordinate, design and deliver training programs across a region and/ or globally to meet the training needs of the business.

Chiltern, a global contract research organization, is a leading provider of clinical services and solutions in a variety of therapeutic areas with engagement models for biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Chiltern’s team of more than 4,300, located across 47 countries.

We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Specialist. The L&D Specialist will coordinate, design and deliver training programs across a region and/ or globally to meet the training needs of the business.

This is a rare opportunity for an individual who would like to build their career in Learning and Development and facilitating. This will be a role learning about the end to end process as a Training Deliverer and Facilitator from idea creation to evaluation of projects. The individual will be delivering and designing soft skills content for teams and individual contributors across the globe both virtually and face to face.

This will be based in our office in Slough or Edinburgh.

  • Minimum 0 - 1 + years of experience of delivering training courses
  • Qualifications: Flexible on this but if candidates have completed some CIPD modules or ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) that would be beneficial
  • Understanding of training theory and training needs analysis
  • The ideal candidate is someone with a can-do attitude, confident presenting, personable with a creative mind to help develop new training material.
  • The applicant should demonstrate some experience in training via webinar and to a small group in person or equivalent coaching (training soft skills, team sales, coaching for example).
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of PCs (currently Windows, MS Office, and common email software).
  • Knowledge of clinical trials, ICH-GCP and applicable regulatory requirements would be an advantage

  • Collaborate closely with Learning & Development colleagues to ensure that there is a global perspective and approach to training solutions.
  • Provide Chiltern employees with the requisite knowledge, skills and guidance needed to fulfil their job responsibilities.
  • Oversee and implement training for both new and established employees.
  • Design and deliver training courses to meet specific learning objectives
  • Follow-up training courses including evaluations and identify successful learning transfer
  • Perform other duties as required by the Learning & Development Management Team
