Job purpose:

The National Pricing & Excellence Manager is responsible for overseeing the pricing of surgical portfolio utilizing a proprietary pricing model as well as data driven decisions. This is pivotal role reporting directly to the Head of Tenders, Contracts & Pricing and would be ideally suited to a candidate with prior pricing or contracts experience ideally within a healthcare background.
The Pricing Manager will ensure smooth management of pricing queries, ensuring each pricing opportunity for existing or new business is led and managed from receipt of the quote/ITT/ RFP according to best practice and that it is qualified and prioritised in line with business strategy.
Pricing Manager will provide input to equipment finance arrangements and more importantly structuring deals which results in win-win propositions in a timely manner.
The Pricing manager will take responsibility of price management of Surgical products through a process that includes seeking approvals at various levels and work with the wider pricing and tenders team made up of internal stakeholders to ensure that all information comes together in time for submission and prices are updated or extended in the SAP system to maximize revenue potential. The job holder will need to make sure that all pricing documentation is compliant, clear, concise and crucially compelling.

Key Responsibilities:

•Managing the pricing activity for deals across surgical business in the UK and IE market
•Working with the tenders and pricing team to ensure results for pricing decisions is fair and reporting is accurate
•Help empower sales functions through effectively communicating details of pricing and ensuring needs of customers are met in the pricing process in a compliant manner
•Support the Tenders and Pricing team to drive speed, provide right price first time, and help improve customer experience
•Manage the interplay between various internal functions in order to drive expeditious and high quality pricing output that requires input from a variety of internal functions
•Evaluate relevant deals and benchmarks and recommend potential structures for pricing and programs while ensuring the team is fully aware and adhering to all processes put in place
•Analyze and report all pricing activities including discounts, profitabilty analysis, and contract price as well as develop recommendations to improve profitability and mix
•Effective communication during weekly meetings with actions, daily monitoring & management of quotes shared inbox
•Deliver accurate and relevant pricing proposals utilizing Price Pro and configure quote management (an internal tool) in-line with new KPI’s introduced in the department
•Working closely with the team to create compelling commercial solutions
•Communicate and present pricing reporting & summary which shows results of pricing modelling & decisions and its impact analysis (loss/gain) on sales on a weekly/monthly basis. The report to show territories, segmentation and pricing decision impact with the aim to optimise sales performance. E.g. report showing regular discount, margins and provision analysis
•Ensure Head of Tenders & Pricing is fully informed on the conditions of pricing re-quests through a regular highlight report
•Ability to manage and analyse large data sets through modelling techniques
•Excellent written communication skills. Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:

•Fluent English
•Minimum 4-5 years experience and knowledge of pricing strategies, contracts or tenders (especially within the NHS or the healthcare sector)
•Preferable is from the Ophthalmology sector
•Medical Devices pricing strategy knowledge
