Overview

The Compensation Analyst will be a key member of the Human Resources team responsible for data integrity, extraction, and analysis in support the company’s Human Resources department.  Functional areas of analysis will include corporate HR reporting, compensation, benefits and HR systems.  Please note: This is not an HR Generalist role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Reporting
    • Develop, prepare, reconcile and distribute company HR reports and dashboards including attrition, headcount activity, compensation changes, benefits cost, etc.
    • Support ad hoc HR data requests to support management and business proposals
  • Human Resources and Compensation Analysis
    • Prepare department- and company-wide compensation analyses, ad hoc compensation benchmarking requests, merit and incentive compensation modeling
  • Benefits Administration
    • Benefits cost modeling in support of annual benefits renewal
    • Monthly and quarterly benefits reconciliations to ensure 1) agreement between vendor system and HR system, 2) proper benefit payroll deductions, and 3) invoice accuracy
    • Administer compliance testing and support data requests needed for annual benefits filings
  • HRIS
    • Oversee all system (Workday) data integrity through creating and monitoring automated reconciliation reports; ensure data is current, accurate and reportable
    • Primary point of contact for all data extraction and report creation from Workday system
    • Data integration support as needed between HRIS and other systems
  • HR Support
    • HRIS configuration and testing
    • U.S. Benefits troubleshooting and support
    • Other HR support responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

 

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, statistics or related field of study 

Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of professional work experience, preferably in a data analytics role (e.g. Financial Analysis, Compensation Analysis, etc.)
  • General understanding of and interest in the Human Resources function
  • Significantly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to create and utilize pivot tables and formulas to support data analysis
  • Ability to use statistical methods and applications (ex., ,  SAS, R, SPSS) to analyze large data sets from varied systems and sources
  • Ability to effectively communicate statistical analyses, results and implications to technical and non-technical audiences in written, verbal and visual formats
  • Ability to identify patterns and trends within data sets
  • Strong and well-rounded project management experience, time management skills, attention to detail and ability to multi task with often competing priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information
