Requirements:

The Manager, Sales Training, working in conjunction with the Director, Global Sales Training, will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of European /Global sales learning initiatives and programs:

Key Responsibilities of Role

  • Facilitates ongoing training on product and selling skills, ensuring participant understanding and execution of product and market knowledge
  • Facilitates training programs to sustain and improve employee performance, engagement and retention, which includes field sales management development programs and professional development programs
  • Makes recommendations for improvement and presents the results to leadership on a regular basis; develops and evaluates competency levels of training class participants
  • Manages training curricula, programs, and procedures working closely with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure cohesive, integrated training materials and ensures final training materials are completed on time
  • Assists in planning and execution for all European and RoW sales training events and meetings, including defining goals and agendas and coordinating logistics with the Commercial Operations teams, Distributor Management, and other stakeholders
  • Expected to collaborate closely with (local) sales, marketing, and distributors management colleagues to ensure implementation of country specific training
  • Analyses sales data reports and performance of the field sales force to suggest areas for growth and support
  • Provides guidance within the sales organization and shares best practices
  • Keeps informed of new training methods and techniques
  • The manager will also be expected to:
  • Help design and facilitate corporate training programs as needed
  • Help manage field sales team’s participation in training programs managed elsewhere within the company (e.g., compliance and SOPs)
  • Create training performance transcript

Qualifications and/or experience required to perform the role

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical/medical device (or related) industry
  • Experience presenting and facilitating material in a training department or as a field sales trainer preferred
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and related training techniques preferred
  • Ability to recognize needs and implement training programs as needed
  • Prior experience with online training delivery methods is highly preferred
  • Prior experience working with both distributor and direct sales teams
  • Highly comfortable with self-motivating, taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity
  • Polished communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent platform and facilitation skills
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Ability to do overnight travel ( 30% of the time)
