Job Summary:

Roles & Responsibilities of the position

Typically, the Clinical Site Monitor conducts initiation visits by collaborating with Site staff and the Field Medical team. You will be primarily involved in orienting site personnel regarding the protocol, study related procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

You will need to ensure that there is a high quality of data submitted from study sites and assure timely submission of said data by familiarising yourself with the available systems.

The Clinical Site Monitor will need to be comfortable influencing and motivating staff, especially at sites without any direct authority. You will need to be calm under pressure, and be confident at resolving and identifying study site issues. Any corrective actions will need to be directed by you as appropriate.

As you will be steering and influencing site staff performance, you will need to develop strong professional relationships at a number of sites and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Each SMN will work on (up to) 6 protocols, in different stages of a trial (e.g. start up, recruitment, maintenance, close out), across up to 15 sites (with an average 6 patients per site across all therapeutic areas (TA) across Phases I to III).

Most sites are in Dublin (and additional sites are located in Galway, Limerick and Cork). Very occasional travel to UK may be required.

Job Requirements

Onsite monitoring and oncology experience is essential

• Experienced, PAYE SMN required

• Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate sites as required.

• University degree or equivalent, in a biological science or healthcare-related field.

• Strong knowledge of clinical study operations and processes.

• Timeline management.

• Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, communication and presentational skills.
