Job Summary:

I have partnered up with a new fully merged CRO, who as result of the merger offer a full spectrum of drug development services from the first-in-human Phase I clinical studies through to pivotal Phase III studies and Phase IV post marketing studies. Having expertise in all drug types, dosage forms and delivery mechanisms.

Requirements:

Are you an experienced SAS programmer with a strong background in Clinical Research who is passionate about drug development and seeking a challenging and rewarding career in a process focussed role. You will be looking to move into a fast paced Phase I-III environment, setting up and maintaining clinical studies within Oracle InForm.

You will be an experienced SAS programmer with a sound understanding of the concepts and logic of databases and programming. As a senior programmer, you will provide SAS programming support within the Biometrics team, including the creation of annotated CRFs, mapping documents and other supportive study documentation.

  • Create SAS programs to manipulate data extracted from the EDC system into standard format SAS data sets.
  • Program checks, reports and listings using SAS.
  • Loading of electronic 3rd party data into SAS.
  • Program conversion to CDISC SDTM.
  • Manage the extraction of data from the EDC system.
  • Designing eCRF screens and writing validation checks within the EDC system.
  • Develop data transfer plans for 3rd party data, specification documents, annotated CRFs, mapping documents and other supportive study documentation.
  • Support coding using industry dictionaries.
  • Provide programming and technical support to studies from eCRF design to database lock within agreed project timelines.
  • Act as point of contact for both internal and external customers for all programming tasks and issues for allocated studies.

 

Qualification/Education

  • Minimum 4 year’s relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a clinical research organisation
  • Experience and experience in SAS programming, including macros
  • Sound understanding of the concepts and logic of databases and programming
  • Attention to detail, proactive, flexible, well-motivated
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Proactivity and risk management skills
  • A logical thinker with strong analytical skills
