The Head Project Management provides leadership to Director/ Senior/ Project Managers (Dir PM/ Sr PM / PMs) at their respective site and directs their allocation across Development Programs/ Brands.

The person in this role is specifically responsible for:
• Availability of accurate key project information for Development programs/ Brands in Horizon;
• PM competency building to secure a reliable operational support to Global Program Team deliverables;
• Ensuring accurate and timely planning and tracking of the financials in Horizon related to the Program(s)/ Brand(s);
• Implementation and business support for continuous improvement of project management tools and systems, e.g., Horizon.

• Responsible for the accuracy of (Dir PM/ Sr PM/ PM) key program deliverables for their respective Development Programs/ Brands e.g., timely execution of cross-functional program plans, ac-curate tracking and forecasting of GPT activities.
• Strategic resource deployment across portfolio taking into account priority project levels and associate development goals in coordination with other Heads Project Management/ Dev Unit Heads-GPTDs (Global Program Team Directors)/ GPTDs to ensure efficient and transparent allocation of resources.
• Accountable for overall management of (Dir PM/ Sr PM/ PMs) at a site. Identify individual training needs to foster high levels of performance, support career development through quality development plans and proactively manage performance issues. Establish annual objectives according to priorities and individual development needs
• Accountable for the hiring, on-boarding, training and mentoring of new staff.
• Develop (Dir PM/ Sr PM/ PMs) headcount forecasts to support programs/ brands.
• Input to process standards and tools to achieve excellence in project information and management. Identify process improvements and best practices. In collaboration with the GPTDs and key stakeholders, drive implementation globally in a manner that creates consistency, efficiency and with a high level of compliance within and across Dev Units.
• Lead process improvements related to planning and tracking activities of programs/ brands and coordinate knowledge sharing within GPM.
• Author/reviewer for SOPs/ process guidance for projects/ programs using Horizon and other pro-gram operation reporting tools.
• Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• As applicable, perform responsibilities associated with GPM/ GDD representation on a local site leadership team.
• As applicable, fulfill the role of local head of GDD by serving as company manager for GDD associates.

• Quality & consistent deliverables across GPTs
• Quality decision-making enabled through high quality project plans and project documentation across all GPTs
• Accuracy of key Development milestones and project financials
• Functional resource planning optimized Minimum requirements Masters degree is required. Certificate in project management preferred.

Life science/healthcare, finance and clinical trial operations/ drug development experience preferred.

• =8 years of pharmaceutical drug development industry experience
• =5 years people management experience; this may include management in a matrix and global environment.
• Strong knowledge of drug development
• Excellent project / program management skills
• Strong management, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and accomplishment in all aspects of managing cross-functional development programs, resources and budgets.
• Hands-on experience in financial planning and budgeting.
• Considerable organizational awareness, including significant experience in cross-functional working, resource allocation/ estimation and process improvements.
