Requirements:

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to work remotely in the UK. Though you will work remotely most of the time, you should work near one of our offices in the UK to be able to come in as needed.


Responsible for securing outside sources for various commodities and/or services to support our global clinical trials and the overall corporate business objectives.  Identify and maintain vendor relationships that provide high quality products and services at the best value while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:
• Establish and maintain business relationships with selected third party vendors that would support the Worldwide Clinical Trials organization globally.
• Support and build Preferred Provider relationships through strategic sourcing processes.
• Develop strategy for selection of vendors in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Development of RFI for commodity sourced (if applicable).
• Attend capabilities presentations for complete understanding of services being sourced.
• Negotiate pricing, business terms and conditions, etc.
• Ensure vendors are compliant with negotiated terms through periodic face to face meetings
• Work with Vendor Management to promote the use of Preferred Providers throughout the organization
• Develop Vendor Scorecards for evaluation of Preferred Provider performance reviews.
• Tracking of Cost Savings opportunities is essential
• Develop analysis and reports as required
• Some Tactical Sourcing Required
• Supports project teams with vendor negotiations and project efficiencies
• Assist Vendor Management team with Corrective Action resolution for third party vendors
• Participate in Strategy Meetings for the Outsourcing department as needed
• Work with Outsourcing Manager to establish career progression plans, performance reviews and employee relations
• Any other work related task as assigned

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to interface appropriately with all levels of the organization across the global footprint.
• Solid communication skills
• Proficient in MS Word (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.  
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• A quick learner
• Have the ability to use initiative and think outside the box
• Work to a high degree of accuracy
 
REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Minimum 3-6 years of procurement experience required.  Preferably in a Pharmaceutical /CRO industry.
• Requires strong presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum Travel may be required (up to 20%)
