Job Summary:

Requirements:

Role: Senior Director of Clinical Operations

Location: Netherlands - Office Based

Salary: Very competitive - will discuss on application

Company: Growing Biotech

Are you looking for an opportunity to step in to both a strategic and hands on Clinical Operations role, be highly visible in an exciting growing company and develop treatments for diseases with a high unmet medical need?

I am currently working with a growing Biotech who is offering all of the above.

They set themselves aside from other companies in the industry by offering an exciting, innovative working environment and emphasise their beliefs that having fun at work, a strong culture, flexibility and a highly competitive salary results in a great end product from their employees. Also, they are a rare disease specialist organisation meaning you will be part of the development of truly life changing treatments for a large number of people around the world who currently do not have effective treatments.

They are looking for someone who can provide leadership across all phases of clinical development including multiple global cross-functional clinical studies (first-in-human to Phase 2 trials) and due to their current pipeline, experience with Phase 3 registration trials is also highly desirable. This really is an opportunity to “wear many hats”, your role will not be limited to certain tasks, and you will be accountable for ensuring global clinical trial activities and deliverables are completed on-time, within budget, and in a highly dynamic and complex environment.

The right person for the job will:

·         Lead and oversee clinical studies by project planning, managing budget, negotiating contracts, resource management and CRO/vendor selection and management

·         Implement and develop new processes

·         The role will include some strategical input to overall company direction

·         Line manage 6+ direct reports (in the Netherlands)

·         Make sure study plan aligns with business development strategies

·         Contribute to product and clinical development plans

·         Strategic guidance to trial feasibility and operational excellence

·         Be part of patient recruitment strategies

What they are looking for:

·         At least 10 years Clinical Operations at Management/Director level

·         Life science Degree

·         Line management experience of at least 4 direct reports

·         Phase 1-2 clinical study experience required, phase 3 experience preferred

·         Rare/Orphan disease experience would be ideal however other therapeutic experience will be considered

They are looking for a nice person who can fit in to their friendly culture (no ego’s please!) and this fast growing start-up biotech is unlike any I have worked with in Europe, offering a truly innovate and fun work environment.
