Job Description SummaryThe role of the Project Management Officer is to support projects and programs independently by providing a professional PMO service to the Project Managers. The activities of the PMO are centralized around resource and work planning & control, budget management, change management.
The PMO will provide a central support function to the project managers to administer and co-ordinate the project tracking and development of key metrics and reports.
As well as project management support, the PMO will support the definition and development of Business Cases to ensure their timely approval.
The PMO will also be responsible to develop tracking and reporting tools where they are deficient or don’t exist – this includes the development of effective KPIs and templates to capture status and progress on key projects and investments.

 

Job Description
  • Developing project management standards and processes and encouraging (or enforcing where necessary) the use of those standards and processes
  • Managing a resource capacity plan or resource forecast to help understand resource availability for projects
  • Implementing scoring and prioritisation models to help assess which requests should be approved.
  • Managing dependencies across multiple projects  
  • Capturing project requests and ensuring each request has sufficient information to assess the project.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely, effective and engaging communications for projects
  • Tracking benefits and ensure comprehensive projects metrics reporting on milestones, financials, results, issues and progress.
  • Facilitation of internal and external meetings and delivering training and mentoring project team members

Responsibilities 

EducationBachelors: Biomedical Science, Post Grad Diploma

SkillsConsulting experience gained ideally within projects in business unit strategy development and general project management, Project management/PMO, strong business acumen and problem solving skills, financial reporting, analytics, data modelling, excel, access, power-point, strong execution focus, self-starter, Project Management or Consulting Experience
