Company Statement


Our client, one of the world’s top international pharmaceutical companies, are seeking a (Senior) Manager, Signal Detection Specialist (contractor). This function will be responsible for a specific project; interpreting, analysing and disseminating information from Eudravigilance data. Our client requires a contractor who is available full-time (1.0 FTE).




- Provide scientific safety support to company’s signal detection and management process, specific to monitoring Eudravigilance

- Work directly to support EV project team in regards to regular data monitoring of EV database, training, presentations and updates to signals head and PV upper management

- Review and provide updates to Signal Detection Office on outstanding Safety Surveillance Activities by product as it relates to EV

- Ability to participate in bridging communications between signal management and PVIM as appropriate concerning EV data

- Understand and work within the Empirica system as it relates to EV data

- Ability to interpret and communicate findings from data analyses verbally and visually to internal and external stakeholders




- 5+ years of hands on PV experience in post marketing

- Solid understanding of regulations impacting Pharma industry

- Prior hands on experience with signal detection activities such as analysing/categorising/assessing data

- Solid understanding of information systems and management

- Solid understanding of MedDRA data dictionary

- Solid understanding of medicinal products, administration, and medical concepts

- Previous experience with Oracle Health Sciences: Empirica and Argus Safety helpful

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent listening and comprehension skills

- Ability to work effectively in a matrix setting to resolve issues and achieve common goals

- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
