Skills Alliance, a leading global life science executive staffing firm is looking to expand its operation with a new office in Germany. This will be our 6th office launch on 5 years and will focus on developing both our brand and footprint in Country.

Currently, all our work in Germany is supported from either London or Zurich, however we believe this will be an opportunity to develop stronger partnerships with both our current candidate and client base along with our desire to establish new relationships.

The location planned is Frankfurt, however we are open to other locations should this lend itself to hiring the best possible candidate and team.

The Role

This position is focused around four main core skills; leadership, business development, delivery, and client penetration. This position forms part of the Senior Management team and is recognised as part of the global leadership team.

You will lead from the front with a focus on building out our service lines in Germany. This includes, but is not limited to Executive Retained Search, Business Transformation Projects, Interim and Temporary Appointments, Outsourced Projects, and Market Mapping.

You will be targeting on hiring and building a team of recruiters based in Germany who will be aligned with our core vertical markets. This team will work closely with both our London and Zurich offices, with a particularly close partnership with our Regional Director, Continental Europe, and UK Managing Director.

A key parameter in this position will be to promote the Skills Alliance brand in Country. In tandem with this, you will build out our executive and interim functions by networking at C level with Board level individuals.

This business unit should allow for the continued expansion of the company enabling us to fully service current and future clients.

The focus of this newly created opportunity is as follows:

As part of the senior management team, build out our executive arm in Germany. This will involve networking with C level leaders in order to create a revenue stream focused on VP level and above.

To further establish our contract business in Germany by partnering with both our Swiss and London offices to create a service offering in the region.

To increase the number of new accounts won in Germany, and therefore increase the overall revenue stream within Skills Alliance.

To identify new opportunities in the market and suggest new areas for company development.

To develop and promote our market brand in Europe allowing for an increased market share.

To develop the current Skills Alliance accounts in line with company targets.

To introduce the Skills Alliance service lines to both current and new clients with the aim of providing a full suite of solutions to each client. Particular focus will be on our executive, interim and managed service offerings.

Experience and Educational Background:

You will have significant experience recruiting into Germany, and be able to demonstrate key successes, client wins and ongoing partnerships.

You will understand how to set up and implement a contract recruitment model and have prior experience collaborating with clients to provide both permanent and temporary staffing solutions.

You should be able to demonstrate not only leadership experience but also be able to give clear examples of training, developing, and mentoring junior recruiters as they establish themselves in the market.

You will be able to demonstrate experience in competency based interviewing coupled with the use of additional tools to assess culture and fit. This could include on-line and personality assessments.

Ideally, you will have a degree within a scientific or business discipline and you will be fluent at both written and spoken German and English.

You should have worked in a specialist market, if not Biotechnology and Life Sciences, then another globalised industry.
