Job Summary:

An exceptional position for my global pharmaceutical client, the role is to develop and lead the UK Health Economics, Outcomes Research and Market Access division. This is the most senior position within the UK and reports to the Managing Director.

Requirements:

You will be an experienced industry professional with a proven background in Health Outcomes and Market Access, you will be experienced at developing and implementing Market Access and Reimbursement strategies, gained from a proven background within Health Economics within a Pharmaceutical, consultancy, CRO or Biotech company.

Market Access collaborates with Strategic Marketing, Pharmaceutical Research & Development. The focus is on translating Payer & Patient perspectives into evidence supporting sustainable reward.

The Director of Health Economics & Market Access is to provide strategic input and ensure high quality deliverables from a health economics, reimbursement and market access perspective.

You will provide strategic advice to clinical and commercial teams on patient populations, trial design and relevant endpoints. In addition, as you grow your team team will provide complementary evidence including: systematic literature reviews, retrospective database analyses, prospective studies, & user-friendly cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.

The role will have both strong scientific and commercial focus and will offer the opportunity for a motivated professional with sharp commercial acumen to have a highly visible and instrumental position.

You will be tasked with growing the Health Economics department, liaising with the managing director to strategically grow the team over the next 18 months. Working closely with colleagues in Europe and from around the world.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiar with the drug development process and have practical experience working alongside clinical development teams.
• Understanding of the reimbursement environment for key international markets.

• Ability to establish credibility and influence the incorporation of sound economic research into pharmaceutical product development and marketing processes.
• Ability to collaborate within a decentralized, matrix organization and possess superior team-building skills.
• Fluent English.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, MD, PhD, PharmD) in the life or social sciences (e.g. economics, medicine, pharmacy, epidemiology).
