Job Summary:

My global pharmaceutical client is looking for a Health Economics Team Manager to lead and line manage the HE team and functions in the UK. The ideal candidate will be organised, resilient and an excellent problem solver along with having exceptional presentation and communication skills. The successful applicant must be an effective leader of teams and have a track record of the professional development of industry health economics.

Requirements:

Skills & Experience

• Track record of the professional development of industry health economists
• Organised and resilient
• Innovative thinker, excellent problem-solver
• Track record of success with HTA bodies including NICE and the SMC
• Experience of working in a commercial environment
• Excellent presentation/communication skills
• Ability to clearly explain technical issues to a lay audience; can effectively sell an idea and defend a point of view as appropriate
• Excellent networking skills; able to build good working relationships both inside and outside the business

Additional Competencies

• Ability to enthuse and motivate a team, fostering excellent team spirit
• Provides appropriate support to direct reports as required both in terms of day job and non-work related issues
• Escalates issues to Director of MAPOR as appropriate
• Demonstrates an aptitude to learn new therapeutic areas and changes in the healthcare/payer environment in a short period of time and with minimal assistance
• Ability to effectively communicate with and influence internal and external customers
• Adaptable and responds well to change
• Required Education & Knowledge
• At least MSc in Health Economics or equivalent discipline
• Very good working knowledge of all methods of economic evaluation
• In-depth knowledge and experience of the requirements and processes of HTA bodies including NICE and the SMC
• In-depth knowledge of potential UK and Ireland market access barriers
• Demonstrable experience of the development of payer materials that can be used to support market access
• Track record as an effective leader of teams
• Evidence of effective input at the strategic level
