European Director Pricing, Reimbursement & Market Access (PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY - HEOR TEAM) - Germany or UK
Job Summary:
My client is a global pharmaceutical company looking for a European Director Pricing, Reimbursement and Market Access. The right candidate will either be based in the UK or Europe, you will have proven career history within European Pricing & Market Access, gained in a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company.
Requirements:
Pricing and Market Access strategy
- Lead support to European Health Economics team within area of responsibility:
- Determine key areas of focus in alignment with commercial teams' priorities:
- Develop and lead implementation of pricing and market access strategies and tactics that maximize current products portfolio (including reimbursement defense strategies) as well as future portfolio across regions-
- Optimize pricing and market access management of assets across developed and emerging markets, unlocking business potential quickly while protecting the long term perspective-
- Recommend pro-active, value added initiatives and execute with support from other affiliates if need be (Innovation & Policy and Skills & Infrastructure)
- Drive mindset change to better reflect and act upon pricing risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with Innovation & Policy affiliates on Pfizer position and policy in the off-patent area
- Collaborate with Skills & Infrastructure affiliates to enhance in-house Net Pricing Intelligence resources and tools
- Identify asset-based pricing and market access best practices and scale up potential solutions and activities aimed at improving pricing/ profitability via innovative approaches
Pricing and Market Access operations
- Provide effective country support to the assigned European markets:
- Implement optimal access strategies that maximize the commercial opportunity while minimizing cross-border risks:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the Healthcare and Market Access environment and dynamics in the countries to be supported
- Manage decisions on Price Strategy Proposals (PSP) that are submitted by assigned markets after conducting appropriate due diligence with key internal stakeholders
- Lead / oversee development of customized access/value dossiers to support markets with pricing, reimbursement and access negotiations, seeking synergies with market access colleagues in other business units whenever possible
- Proactively monitor external environment, customers and competitors to identify opportunities for improving or protecting access
- Support deployment of global Market Access tools / solutions and ensure consistent message on policy and governance in the assigned markets
Qualifications
- Global pricing & market access experience with preference for sound knowledge of pricing and market access dynamics, across UK and Europe
- Strong understanding of pricing and market access regulations, dynamics and strategies across regions
- In-depth understanding of pricing strategy & tactics, including expertise in cross-border referencing & parallel trade
- Knowledge of various pricing options as applicable to different types of customers (government payers, out-of-pocket, and in mixed markets)
