The Analytical Development & Control group evaluates the physical and chemical properties of new chemical entities in development and provides analytical service to the other groups in PR&D Hoddesdon. The spectrum of activities includes raw material testing and approvals, method development, in-process and finished product testing for Organic Chemistry, pharmaceutical evaluation of new drug candidates, preformulation testing, development and validation of methods for formulated products in Phase I/II, identification of degrades in bulk drugs and formulations, and stability testing. An important function of the group is the analysis of clinical supplies for Phase IV and V studies.
