The Clinical Supplies Department packages, labels and distributes clinical supplies (mainly tablets and capsules) for world wide studies using manual and high speed automated packaging techniques. Materials are provided in a format that will enable studies to be undertaken in accord with Regulatory requirements. Each study can involve tens to many thousands of patients. The co-ordination of clinical study requirements and the planning of the department's manufacturing and packaging workload are the responsibility of this group. The group works closely with other similar Merck groups to provide a world-wide support service.
